Lisa Coutu received her Juris Doctor degree in 2015 from Georgetown University Law Center. While at GULC, Ms. Coutu served as a student attorney for D.C. Law Students in Court, a clinic which assists tenants in disputes with their landlords. In this capacity, Ms. Coutu represented numerous clients by preparing for and arguing motions, hearings, and trials.
Ms. Coutu graduated from the University of Delaware in 2012, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in History. As part of the Summer Scholars program, she researched and presented on the tragic history of Native Americans and the possibilities of rehabilitation through cultural education programs.
Prior to joining Ekblom & Partners, Ms. Coutu was the judicial law clerk to the Honorable Mary K. Costello, the Presiding Civil Judge of Hudson County, New Jersey. During this clerkship, she enhanced her legal research and writing skills and learned the intricacies of civil motion practice.
Ms. Coutu resides in Hudson County, New Jersey. She enjoys traveling to new places, cooking Italian and French food, and watching Sunday Night Football.
